Course contents: Lab session:  Introduction - Microscopy Techniques.  Plant Cell Structure - Mitosis - Cytokinesis.  Plastids - Photosynthetic Pigments.  Plant Cell Vacuole and Plasmolysis – Crystals – Protein grains – Starch grains.  Plant Tissues I (Epidermis).  Plant Tissues II (Meristematic tissue - Parenchyma – Collenchyma – Sclerenchyma - Secretory tissue)  Plant Tissues III (Vascular tissue – Periderm)  Structure and Functional Organization of the Plant Stem.  Structure and Functional Organization of the Leaf.  Structure and Functional Organization of the Plant Root.  Structure and Functional Organization of the Flower.  Relation of Structure with Development, Reproduction and Dispersal of Plants.
