Objectives of the course (preferably expressed in terms of learning outcomes and competences Knowledge focused on the macromolecular structure, plant cell biology and plant structure.
Course contents: Lab session: [1] Introduction - Microscopy Techniques. [2] Plant Cell Structure - Mitosis - Cytokinesis. [3] Plastids - Photosynthetic Pigments. [4] Plant Cell Vacuole and Plasmolysis – Crystals – Protein grains – Starch grains. [5] Plant Tissues I (Epidermis). [6] Plant Tissues II (Meristematic tissue - Parenchyma – Collenchyma – Sclerenchyma - Secretory tissue) [7] Plant Tissues III (Vascular tissue – Periderm) [8] Structure and Functional Organization of the Plant Stem. [9] Structure and Functional Organization of the Leaf. [10] Structure and Functional Organization of the Plant Root. [11] Structure and Functional Organization of the Flower. [12] Relation of Structure with Development, Reproduction and Dispersal of Plants.
