Description
Objectives of the course (preferably expressed in terms of learning outcomes and competences Basic principles of the forces that govern the abundance and distribution of the species. The Biogeography of Greece.
Course contents: The science and history of Biogeography. The environmental and historical setting. Patterns and processes. (Speciation and extinction, Dispersal, Endemism, provincialism and disjunction. Island Biogeography. Species diversity.) Biogeography and conservation. The Biogeography of the Greek region.
